Our Governance
TREAT-NMD Alliance Ltd. is a registered charity, with a wholly owned business arm called TREAT-NMD Services Ltd.
Our charitable status means that TREAT-NMD Alliance Ltd. is overseen by a Board of Trustees that define and monitor the strategic aims of the charity. The Board of Trustees are elected by members of the network and carries a legal responsibility for the charity; you can find out more about their role here.
The Neuromuscular Disease Executive Advisory Committee (NMDAC) includes clinicians, researchers, patients, and other experts elected by you, our members. The role of the committee is to review the landscape for neuromuscular disease and to identify priority areas for focus. These areas will be reviewed by the Board of Trustees and will form the basis for the strategic direction of TREAT-NMD Alliance Ltd.
Our business arm, TREAT-NMD Services Ltd, consists of a dedicated team working across key areas that keep the organisation running and the global network connected by coordinating the network, supporting stakeholders and managing the various projects, registry network and educational programmes. This team is overseen by a Board of Directors who reports to the Board of Trustees of TREAT-NMD Alliance limited.
